Daily quiz + leaderboard
One embed code, a new quiz every morning. A Riddle Placeholder always shows the latest quiz tagged “Daily Quiz”, and registered readers see where they rank.

Today's quiz
Placeholder · tag “Daily Quiz”
This embed never changes. Riddle swaps in the newest quiz with the tag every morning at 07:30.
For registered readers
This week's ranking.
Every daily quiz feeds the same leaderboard. The page shows it only to logged-in readers; guests see a login prompt instead.

How it works
Your editors only ever tag a quiz.
01
Tag the quiz “Daily Quiz”
Create each day's quiz as usual and add the tag. Publish it ahead of time; it goes live in the slot at 07:30.
02
The Placeholder swaps it in
The page embeds the Placeholder once. It always resolves to the latest published quiz with the tag.
03
Scores land on the leaderboard
Each daily quiz asks for a nickname and email and is connected to the leaderboard, so every play counts.
Build it yourself
The code and the Riddle settings.
1 · On your page
The same two embeds every day. The leaderboard is wrapped in a server-side login check (WordPress example).
<!-- today's quiz: this code never changes -->

<script src="https://www.riddle.com/embed/build-embedjs/embedV2.js"></script>
<iframe src="https://www.riddle.com/embed/a/Krnr1qRQ"></iframe>
</div>
<!-- leaderboard for registered readers -->
<?php if ( is_user_logged_in() ) : ?>
<div class="riddle2-wrapper" data-rid-id="9736zHO5">…</div>
<?php endif; ?>
2 · In the Riddle Creator
Set up once; after that it runs itself.
- Placeholder: condition tag “Daily Quiz”, mode “last published”, daily from 07:30.
- Each daily quiz: a form with name and email, connected to the leaderboard.
- Leaderboard: publish it once and embed it where members can see it.
- Fallback: pick a quiz the Placeholder shows when nothing new is tagged.
Privacy & security
Show nicknames, not people.
- Let players choose the nickname shown on the leaderboard.
- The email identifies a player across days and is never displayed.
- Hiding the leaderboard from guests is a page decision; do it on the server, not with CSS.
